Disabilty friendly

Fishing is a sport for all, so it’s important everyone enjoys the surroundings and your day is comfortable and accessible as possible. That’s why Docklow Pools does their upmost to make it a disability friendly destination

All the lakes can be accessed by car if need be. There is parking available for all the pools and a lot of pegs close by too.

Most pegs are concrete platforms and are quite spacious. The rivers have access and parking. They are after all natural features, so some swims and pegs will be tricky even for a fit and able person to get to. We own the river rights not the land. Being sensible, if an individual is not 100% fit and could be a risk to them falling then we recommend staying to use the pools.

All anglers should take care as the banks are not as prepared as any commercial would be. Rotherwas in some cases a 5 to 10 minute walk to get bank side and is well over a mile long. Bridge Sollars and the Teme stretches, the parking is reasonably close to the river. The restaurant is a 17th century structure, but we’ve ensure there is access from the front of the farm house, and a wheel chair access at the rear too.

As a disability friendly destination, we are pleased to be able to offer an option on all our ranges for those who need a bungalow style access. Options include – Bed and Breakfast, Dairy and Sheep Pen lodges, pet friendly, fishermen lodges, traditional and premier properties and Juniper Lodge.

Docklow Pools work together for its risk assessment on an annual basis to cater for all.

Give us a call and we’ll help, recommend and support to get you the right choice.
