Mickey Mouse

A lovely pool that is the favourite of the residents for it's mixed stock of fish. Forty pegs each with it's own character. A comfortable day's fishing, you'll never know what the next bite brings! . . And you'll get plenty of them! The carp are into double figures but the gudgeon aren't!

This possible the oldest commercial pool in the country, dating back to 1972. Originally it was a duck pond with some old trees growing out of the middle. That now has become a true angling feature

The Day Ticket

This is one of the most consistent lake on the complex with crucians, chub, carp and barbel in most pegs. The stumps are a good area to try for chub with a maggot feeder or waggler approach but the pole will work on most pegs. Worm and caster will be the most consistent approach on the pole and feeding small amounts through a kinder pot is the best way to go about putting a weight together. Carp will turn up in the swim at some point so there is no need to fish too light. Diameter .16mm direct to a size16 and a number 10-12 elastic is about right. You can catch roach and chub shallow on caster on the waggler or pole with the odd skimmer too but for carp try corn and meat in the margins or worm and caster on the long pole. The near end of the pool in the bowl is where most the carp and crucians can be caught but the lilies hold a few tench and barbel
