Docklow Rules & Information

 These are the rules to be enforced for 2010

  • Bait bans: Hemp. Ground bait. All Pellets (No exceptions).Paste. Cat food / Dog meat. Joker and blood worm
  • All surface fishing using a rod and line must be done using a free running ledger or bomb ("zig rig"). No exceptions or direct surface fishing i.e. No bubble floats, controllers or free lining. Surface fishing with a pole is allowed
  • No braided main line or hook lengths
  • Barbless hooks only on all lakes and river stretches. No exceptions. No Pinched barbs. Bailiffs check with “rag” test. If it catches in the rag its not barbless
  • No keepnets – Unless in an agreed match. Separate silver and carp nets preferred. 6 hour match maximum.
  • Landing nets – Must be used on all fish over 4oz. No exceptions.
  • Day tickets – children under 16 must be accompanied with an adult
  • Rags are not to be used to pick and touch fish
  • Day ticket Spectators – Partners allowed free of charge. Other spectators £5 per person. No large groups
  • No night fishing – All anglers to pack up an hour before dark without exception
  • Cars must be left on the car park at all times.
  • Caravan guests unless members must use the day ticket pools only
  • Litter louts will be banned. Please leave facility clean and tidy. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times
  • Thieves will be prosecuted.
  • Residents who choose to buy daily permits rather than weekly tickets must fish day ticket waters only
  • No night fishing on any lake except Major Bill pool (which is for Major Bill members only) 

Day ticket lakes: - Mickey Mouse, Moby Dick & Figure of 8 only.

Residents (non caravan) & Members purchasing single permits: - All lakes apart from Major Bill.

Double rod members: - all lakes with two rods only, but not the Major Bill.

Stock Pond: - Float fishing only. No floating baits. Old rules apply

Matches: - All agreed matches are shown in the tackle shop. Please check for Match, Farmer Jack & Snake at the weekends.

No match longer than 6 hours. Suggest 5 hours

River Teme & Wye stretches: - Paying river members and residents only. Barbless hooks, no keep nets. Must book in with shop.

 

Accomodation Rules

  • Deposits are non refundable
  • Holiday balances should be paid in full at least 6 weeks before arrival. No later please
  • We are an adults only holiday venue - Guests need to be a minimum of 18 years old to stay here
  • Maximum party size is eight persons 

 

Major Bill – Rules & considerations 2010.

·      Private lake for Major Bill members & agreed double rod permit residents only.

·      Syndicate members other than Major Bill members not permitted on this lake.

·      Anglers must be 18yrs or over. - We are an adults only business for accommodation

·      No guests. All members listed in shop, office and Carp shed.

  • No fixed bolt rigs. – This allows a broken line with a lead not to be dragged around by a fish
  • No match tackle i.e. poles, match rods etc. Minimum 15lb main line
  • No braided main line, No sacks or keep nets.
  • Barbless hooks only – anglers using barbed hooks will be banned.
  • Hook length to be less than the main line.
  • No lead core.
  • Bivvies should be attended at all times.
  • No reserving pegs.
  • No live baiting
  • No removal of any fish.
  • Pellets are allowed on the Major Bill only. – Pellets aren’t allowed on our other lakes
  • Braid hook lengths must coated for Major Bill pool use
  • Maximum 5 days bivvied up in the same peg.
  • Weekly stays must be booked in advance by members
  • Major Bill anglers must use a minimum 42” landing net without exception
  • Mandatory Unhooking mats – Must be large enough to deal with big Cat fish, and preferably of the poly ball variety.
  • No sharing unhooking mats and landing nets – stops running between pegs
  • Major Bill membership covers you for a maximum of 3 rods total. 4th rods will be charged at £20 a day.
  • Two or three rod rule, if someone is in the next peg, please use a bit of consideration
  • Car must be parked on the car park. Trailers to be unloaded and returned to pub car park.
  • No setting up after dark.
  • For obvious reasons cars must not leave the fishery during darkness. No coming and going after dark, arises suspicion. No exceptions
  • Please keep noise to a minimum for the consideration of other anglers. Keep it enjoyable for anglers – no shouting across the lake etc.
