Docklow Rules

These are the new rules to be enforced for 2008

 

Bait Bans:-

  • Hemp
  • Groundbait
  • All Pellets (No exceptions)
  • Paste
  • Cat food / Dog meat

All surface fishing using a rod and line must be done using a free running ledger or bomb. No exceptions or direct surface fishing i.e. No bubble floats, controlers or free lining.

Surface fishing with a pole is allowed

No braided main line or hook lengths

Barbless hooks only

No keepnets (except matches, residents match tuedsays, two keepnets now required, silver/carp)

 

Stock Pond

Float fishing only

No floating baits

Protecting our Bird life – Floating bread, hook bait only preferably on a zig rig (under the surface)

 

Major Bill

 

Must be 18yrs or over

Double rod members and residents holding a double rod permit only

No live baiting

No fixed bolt rigs

No match tackle i.e. poles, match rods etc

No quicksilver braids, sacks or nets

Hook length to be less than the main line

No lead core

Must be Bonifide barbless hooks

Bivvies should be attended at all times

No reserving pegs

No live baiting or removal of any fish

No setting up after dark

Unhooking mat essential

Pellets are allowed on the major bill only

Coated braided hook lengths are allowed on the major bill, strength of hook length must be less than the strength of mono main line i.e. no braided main line.

Maximum 5 days bivvied up in the same peg

 

Cars must be left on the car park at all times

You may drive round the Farmer Jack to unload ONLY, but car must be parked on the car park

For obvious reasons cars must not leave the fishery during darkness

Two or three rod rule, if someone is in the next peg, please use a bit of consideration

Please leave facility clean and tidy.
