When you come to stay and fish at Docklow Pools, you will find most things you need on site, but if you would like to explore the wonderful surroundings and places of interest within the area, here is a guide as to what to see and where to go during your stay.

Nearest Town. . . LEOMINSTER.
A 10 minute drive and you are in the wonderful picturesque town of Leominster. A market town of character offering local shops full of home grown produce, supermarkets, pubs and hotels. Antique shops (full of bargains!) clothes shops, banks, chemists, cafes and friendly people!

HEREFORD, GLOUCESTER and WORCESTER. . .All within a 40 minute drive. Ideal for a full days shopping. The usual high street shops, but set in history. Visit the cathedrals, enjoy the sites, take a day out, then come back and fish! We will advise you on site and make sure you enjoy your trip! Market days: Wednesday-Hereford, Friday-Ludlow.

SHREWSBURY and CHELTENHAM. . .Both within a 55 minute drive.

GOLF. . .O.K we are sure some of you would like to have a round of golf instead of drinks at our bar! We recommend a really good 9 hole course at The Grove, Leominster and also at Bodenham. 18 Hole courses at Leominster, Upper Sapey, Kington, Worcester, Hereford and Tillington.

BOOKS. . .Within an easy drive of Docklow lies the town of Hay-On-Wye. Reputedly the "Book capital of England" make a visit, it's well worth it.

GARDEN CENTRES. . .Wow! . . .too numerous to mention, but Wyevale in Hereford, Webbs of Worcester, Percy Throwers at Shrewsbury come to mind and are all with reach of Docklow Pools. Why not make a day at the castles of Eastnor by Ledbury, Ludlow, Stokesay, Craven Arms, Berrington, Dinmore and Brockhampton. . .step back in time.

RIDING STABLES. . . Very popular with many of our guests. There are several within easy reach of Docklow.
