Our weekly booking season effectively finishes at the end of October, where by we start to take a slightly different approach to the winter months. But positively Docklow is open 12 months a year. We have three options really -

1. Long let winter lease * - by invitation only
2. Short breaks - weekends on properties that are available
3. Month/Weekly bookings - on properties that are available

 Winter Lets

As mentioned above this is upon invitation only to loyal guests who have taken weekly bookings with us over the last twelve months.

It serves two purposes really:

• Keeps Docklow ticking over in our quiet months. Obviously after the busy summer custom has gone we still have a bar and restaurant to maintain. The winter lease is very very social, and not appropriate to couples or individuals who dont like to mix
•  Allows couples who work hard all week to get away on a weekend, relax and have fun with other like minded couples. Its a perfect winter retreat

Some headlines that may be of interest

• We only consider couples only for the winter months. Single accomodation is available of course in the summer but not for a long lease. Happy to look at weeks or weekend short breaks but not for five months or so.
• The let officially runs from 1st November 2010 to XXX 2011
• There is options available to extend the let being October, Christmas (23rd to 28th December) and Easter at a discounted rates
• Opportunity to join Docklow membership so fishing becomes cheaper - ask for details
• A long let is invitation only - the spirit is so good with everyone that its essential that the right blend and friendship is continued
• The restaurant and bar is open every friday and saturday evenings and sunday lunch times.
• Dont need to be fisher people! - just couples who enjoy having a good time
• Its your cottage - bring friends down if you have a spare room and take advantage of the facilities
• Its a young at heart crowd - not a place for moaners or complainers. Everyone comes to have fun and become friends
• We're still strictly 18 yrs + even in the winter
• We're open Christmas and Boxing day too - why not unwind here?
• Most saturdays and sundays there are "knock ups" for those who want to fish a match alternatively the pools are open to pleasure fish

1. Docklow Festival - normally at the start of the lease. Possibly October 2010
2. Something on vertually every saturday evening - paid for by the winter let social fund.
3. Bonfire Night party
4. Halloween fancy dress party
5. Skittles on random saturday
6. Docklow Members Dinner Dance - always first saturday of December
7. Docklow Christmas party
8. New Year celebrations
9. Supporters night in January
10. Valentines evening
11. Bingo every friday from 9pm
12. Ladies away days - days out shopping etc
13. Country walks - off to National trust walks locally.
14. End of winter season fishing festival
